Happy Birthday, Crosby!

Cros, Cros Bubba, CrosBeLicious, Cros-Ba-Goo. This kid has a ton of nicknames already! Crosby never stops moving. One minute he's under the kitchen table, I turn around and he's attempting to climb the furniture. On his birthday, Crosby escaped the kitchen and got up 8 stairs to the landing before anyone noticed. His first steps are just days away.

Crosby has recently discovered trucks. After Dada, his first real word was "truck." He likes truck books and to play trucks. Today he woke up early from his morning nap so I had about 20 minutes alone with him. What a treat! He and I looked at all kinds of trucks in Beckett's room -- a fire truck, excavator, steam roller, dump truck, ambulance and a van. I made up different noises for each one and he squealed in delight. He sat there exclaiming, "Truck! Truck!" and copying some of the noises. He also says cup, dog and mmm (which means he's still hungry).

Crosby likes to be outside, but he does NOT like grass. He hates the texture of it. He's happy as a clam at the park or in the stroller but don't put the kid in grass or he will freak out. It may be the only thing he's picky about. He'll eat anything and he sleeps anytime we put him to bed or nap.

When Cros meets someone new it takes him a little while to warm up. He has strong opinions about who can hold him (lately only Mama will do). Although he seems to really have a thing for his Aunt Cal! Every time he sees Aunt Cal on Skype or in person, he really loves on her.

Crosby remains our mysteriously blond baby! It will be fun to see how he changes this year and how quickly his hair grows.
